The Courts of Twilight and Gloaming
The Courts of Twilight and Gloaming are two factions of faerie hunters who dwell in a faerie regio. They spend most of their time deadlocked in quarrels over arcane minutiae relating to fashion and custom. They also delight in hunting those humans who are foolish or unlucky enough to enter their realm, which they regard as the finest of sports. Once caught, their prey is decapitated, and the faeries have amassed an astounding collection of human heads from over the ages. These heads are kept alive by the faerie magic which sustains the realm, and are still capable of speech, although many speak only dead languages or have been driven into various states of insanity by the horror of their situation. The faerie hunters are strictly hierarchical, obsessed with etiquette, arrogant in the extreme and completely devoid of compassion and empathy, and as such are best avoided.
