Antonius Arcadius is an albino, pink eyed and white skinned, with a shock of white hair. He rarely ventures out during the day, being incredibly sensitive to sunlight - when he does, he tends to be swathed in black, with a wide brimmed hat. He often uses illusions to alter his appearance, and is a gifted orator. The lesser son of a Florentine merchant banking house, the callous family were only too glad to send him away with magi. They still bear him ill will that he refuses to use magic to aid their business empire, refusing to accept the Code as a reason to betray family. There are rumours among some magi that Antonius is an accomplished assassin, and it is true that several hosts of Antonius have subsequently met unfortunate, albeit seemingly natural demises. Once a cultured socialite, he has lost his Gentle Gift due to a severe Twilight episode whilst experimenting on the Sickle of Sir Golain - he now constantly radiates magic, and tends to avoid large mundane gatherings. He is becoming increasingly reclusive, spending more and more time alone with his puppets. Antonius spent many years in control of the Veil and thoroughly enjoyed his illusionary playground, where his body did not appear to age - although there are concerns since he emerged that he has grown steadily more warped as the years have passed, and is now more detached from reality than ever. In 1236AD, Antonius defected to House Merinita, intent on pursuing the Arcadian mysteries. His talisman is a smiling silver mask, which he is rarely seen without.
